In line with the focus on the interconnectedness of policy actions under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), access to information is both a target in itself and a means of achieving other targets. The Development and Access to Information report therefore focuses both on measuring progress toward meaningful access to information and showing the benefits it can bring. This report features thematic chapters by guest authors on how access to information promotes the achievement of each of the following SDGs: Quality Education (SDG 4), Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8), Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10), Climate Action (SDG 13), and Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions (SDG 16).
