Abstract: Il lavoro si propone di affrontare il problema della discriminazione salariale di genere sotto il profilo giuridico ed economico. La prima parte è volta a fornire, molto genericamente, la cornice giuridica di quanto si andrà ad approfondire dal punto di vista economico; la seconda, invece, affronta il tema della discriminazione salariale da un punto di vista economico.
Abstract: Il saggio intende analizzare il fenomeno del divario retributivo di genere e la direttiva (UE) 2023/970 in vista della sua trasposizione nell’ordinamento italiano, offrendo una prima valutazione sul possibile impatto di tale provvedimento. La metodologia adottata è quella dell’analisi normativa della fonte euro-unitaria, integrata da quella dell’analisi sociale volta a ricostruire il fenomeno delle discriminazioni in materia di retribuzione.

Abstract: In this paper, we measure the amount of gender discrimination in the Italian labour market, using the ISFOL PLUS database and covering the period between 2005 and 2010. We adopt a quantile regression decomposition methodology, in order to measure the gender wage gap across the entire distribution of earnings.
