Building on their joint work in the last decade, countries have advanced in setting up qualifications frameworks and devising approaches to assure quality in VET, but much work is still in the planning stage. More attention to the professional development of VET staff, better monitoring of VET labour market outcomes, and considering incentives where appropriate, could help progress in the coming years.

Abstract/Sommario: Undeclared work is defined as paid activities that are lawful but not declared to public authorities. Undeclared work puts workers at multiple risks, undermines public finances and social cohesion. This is a re-edition of a similar survey conducted in 2013 and it confirms that undeclared work is a persisting challenge in the EU. In the last year, one European out of ten has paid for undeclared goods or services and a third of Europeans know somebody who works undeclared. Undeclared work puts workers at multiple risks, undermines public finances and social cohesion. This is a re-edition of a similar survey conducted in 2013 and it confirms that undeclared work is a persisting challenge in the EU. In the last year, one European out of ten has paid for undeclared goods or services and a third of Europeans know somebody who works undeclared. Since the previous survey, the proportion of respondents who see the risk of being caught as high has slightly increased, to 39%. This survey also adds an emphasis on new forms of undeclared work and cross-border undeclared work.

Abstract/Sommario: The report provides an in-depth analysis of adults’ participation in non-formal job-related education and training in Europe, having particular but not exclusive regard to employed adults. It investigates its variability and in/equality based on key factors at individual level, including socio-demographic background, education, labour market status, jobs and workplace characteristics. The report selects, presents and analyses internationally comparable data from the 2011 adult educatio ...; [Leggi tutto...] The report provides an in-depth analysis of adults’ participation in non-formal job-related education and training in Europe, having particular but not exclusive regard to employed adults. It investigates its variability and in/equality based on key factors at individual level, including socio-demographic background, education, labour market status, jobs and workplace characteristics. The report selects, presents and analyses internationally comparable data from the 2011 adult education survey. Basic descriptive statistics are enriched with findings from multivariate statistical modelling to provide a statistical picture of inequalities in Europe and at country level.

Abstract/Sommario: This study contains inspiring initiatives, practices and tools, including the EU projects, that showcase how youth work and non-formal learning can enhance young people’s creativity and innovation, through their experimental nature, participatory approaches, and peer-learning, and how this can help them to find their place in the labour market - and in life.
