As Europe embarks on a new strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth from now to 2020, this report examines the achievements and impact of Europe’s efforts to modernise VET and ease mobility for learning and working.

Abstract/Sommario: This report is one of a set of European country reports on VET policy developments prepared within Cedefop’s ReferNet network. It reviews progress in vocational education policy in Italy in the period from 2002 to 2010. The following topics are included in the report: socioeconomic challenges for future VET policy development; economic crisis VET policies as recovery measures; impact and implications of the joint work on European principles and tools; strengthening links between VET an ...; [Leggi tutto...] This report is one of a set of European country reports on VET policy developments prepared within Cedefop’s ReferNet network. It reviews progress in vocational education policy in Italy in the period from 2002 to 2010. The following topics are included in the report: socioeconomic challenges for future VET policy development; economic crisis VET policies as recovery measures; impact and implications of the joint work on European principles and tools; strengthening links between VET and the labour market; addressing equity, social inclusion and active citizenship; quality, excellence and attractiveness of VET; enhancing creativity and innovation; financing VET; progress in modernising European VET systems in the Copenhagen process and priorities for future cooperation. The present report has been carried out by Isfol – through its Specialised Documentation Centre – collecting information and data coming from official sources, and thanks to the contribution of Isfol researchers and ReferNet Italy Consortium.

Realizzato nell’ambito della Rete Cedefop ReferNet, il rapporto illustra gli sviluppi del sistema educativo italiano per il periodo 2002-2010, attraverso specifiche tematiche, quali: le sfide socio economiche per lo sviluppo futuro delle politiche VET e le potenzialità delle stesse in chiave anti crisi; l’impatto e le implicazioni del lavoro congiunto sui principi e gli strumenti europei; il rafforzamento degli elementi di interoperabilità e contatto tra VET e mercato del lavoro; le misure per l’equità, l’inclusione sociale e la cittadinanza attiva; la qualità, l’eccellenza e l’attrattività della VET; le misure per incentivare creatività e innovazione; gli strumenti di finanziamento alla VET; i progressi riscontrabili per l’ammodernamento dei sistemi VET nell’ambito del Processo di Copenhagen e le priorità per la cooperazione futura. La relazione è stata realizzata dall’Isfol, attraverso la raccolta di dati e informazioni tratti da fonti ufficiali e grazie al contributo dei ricercatori Isfol e dei membri del Consorzio Nazionale ReferNet Italia.

Abstract/Sommario: This open access book examines the triangle between family, gender, and health in Europe from a demographic perspective. It helps to understand patterns and trends in each of the three components separately, as well as their interdependencies. It overcomes the widely observable specialization in demographic research, which usually involves researchers studying either family or fertility processes or focusing on health and mortality.
